Founded by Jack Tien in 1983, JY&T began as a key producer of vulcanized shoes for major US retailers. In 1998, we moved into sandals — the beginning of long partnerships with the world's surf and lifestyle brands.
Over the decades we have produced for many of the world's leading surf and lifestyle brands. Our deepest partnerships include one of close to 30 years, and another spanning the past decade.
What we do best has stayed the same: understanding a brand, finding the right product for it, and making it well. We are not limited to sandals — we produce footwear of many kinds, from first sketch to finished pair.
